Prepping Matrix

When you are new to prepping, everything becomes a little too overwhelming. I wish I could tell you the “lost” feeling changes over time, but it doesn’t.  The truth is; while you expand your “prepper” knowledge, your interests in new subjects can spiral out of control. And, when you think you have figured something out, you may realize that you have solved only a small piece of the puzzle. Therefore, after much debate, sketching on the chalkboard, and revision after revision, we are pleased to offer our initial Prepper Matrix.

Full Version is 18" x 24"

The Prepping Matrix helps you visualize everything that needs to be accomplished. As adults, we tend to focus on areas that we are interested in, and neglect areas that we are not. When I first started prepping, I looked for a prepping road map, but was unable to find one. So after we launched Prepper Link, we started working on what we call the Prepping Matrix. In addition to your personal preps, this matrix can be used to explain what is involved in the prepping lifestyle to those just getting started. Additionally, a group can use it to identify priorities and responsibilities.

    Nice.

Are you going to sell full (poster-sized) prints?

If not, can a person receive rights to print a poster for personal, non-commercial use?

    Thanks!

I'm not sure why people continue to believe that 'bugging out' is a good idea. Clearly, they have never lived out of a rucksack for weeks on end without resupply. (Having done that with the US Special Forces) People live in villages and cities for good reason - it is almost impossible for one person to do it all. You would do well to support the fact that 'bugging out' to a national forest and living off the land is a bad idea.

JM, you can print it out for personal use. It cannot be modified or used for commercial purposes. We have a test print out right now, and may possibly sale these later. This is only the first version, and we have big plans for this project. Please stay tuned.

Also, please send me your email address.

the reason so many people have found this is that AVOW Another Voice Of Warning Newsletter has highlighted the prepping matrix and many people have linked from there to here. :)

    Nancy,

You may need to download an updated version of Adobe Acrobat. Select file print, Under page sizing and handling, select poster. Make sure scale is set to 100%

    Stuart,

I totally agree with your assessment. Having spent five years between Iraq and Afghanistan, I know exactly what you are talking about. Even with the luxury of having a FOB, it is still hard. During the Iraq invasion in 2003, we lived out of our trucks, never set up a tent, and had dysentery that crippled our unit. It was tough.

Bugging Out is a last resort, for me, but it is still an option. To accurately portray what people are interested in, and their current survival plan, we included the Bug Out plan.

Another resource that I highly recommend is Surefire Woodsman's Bug Out Prototype. He covers in depth his survival plan, and how he intends to make it in a Bug Out environment. Just as any tactical military unit, we travel with the necessary supplies with us, but also rely on resupply. Surefire's trailer and knowledge is he resupply, and we all have a ton to learn.

I have reviewed the Bug Out Prototype DVD, and you can find it on the site. http://www.prepperlink.com/index.php/reviews/item/106-mobile-bug-out-prototype

We are not financially affiliated with Surefire Woodsman, nor would we push a product that we do not support.

Thank you for your assessment, and sharing your real experience that you gained for supporting our country.

    Respectfully,

    Gary (Fat Prepper)
